THE TOBAGO MOUNT IRVINE GOLF COURSE PROFILE
The Mount Irvine Bay Golf Course is an 18 Hole Course with spectacular views of the
Caribbean Sea, carved out amongst an old coconut plantation. The Course was designed by
the late Commander John D. Harris and considered his finest and one of the premier Golf
Courses in the Caribbean. Established in 1968, the Course is set within gently rolling
countryside along the coast, with a view of the sea from every hole and an abundance of
massive coconut palm trees.
This Par 72 Course is 6,793 yards (6181.6m) from the back tees. There are five par 5's
ranging in distance from an easy 466 yards (424m) to a testing 535 yards (487m). There are
eight par 4's and five par 3's, one of which is No. 7 (186 yards or 169m) can be a real
challenge with water on the left of the greens and out of bounds on the right! Water comes
into play on four of the holes - No. 7, 9, 10, 18. The Course record of 65 is held by
British Pro, Roger Chapman, and the Ladies record of 69 by Julie Greenhaigh. The Tobago
Golf Club was selected in 1969 to host one of the tournaments in the famous film and TV
